Why We Started Shield Title
Shield Title & Escrow was founded with a simple goal: to create the kind of title company we would want representing our own real estate transactions.
After working with buyers, sellers, investors, lenders, and real estate professionals, we saw that many closings suffered from inconsistent communication, delayed problem-solving, and unnecessary uncertainty. Clients were often left guessing about the status of their files, and issues that could have been resolved early were allowed to grow into closing-day emergencies.
We built Shield Title to provide an attorney-led closing experience focused on proactive communication, early identification of title issues, and protecting our clients from contract through recording.

Founder & Managing Attorney
Jean Paul is a licensed Florida attorney and the founder of Shield Title & Escrow, an attorney-led title company focused on delivering clear communication, proactive oversight, and a structured and proactive closing experience from start to finish.
Before founding Shield Title & Escrow, Jean Paul served as in-house counsel for insurance companies and worked at established South Florida law firms handling general liability and commercial litigation matters. He is also the founder and managing attorney of Shield Legal Group, where he oversees litigation and legal advisory matters throughout Florida. That background provides a unique perspective in title work, with a strong understanding of risk analysis, issue prevention, and file oversight.
Jean Paul founded Shield Title & Escrow after seeing how often buyers, sellers, Realtors, and investors were left frustrated by poor communication and lack of guidance during real estate transactions. He built the company around a simple principle: every closing deserves responsiveness, transparency, and direct attorney oversight.
Admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Fluent in English and Spanish.
